4-Day Itinerary
A complete journey from Fes to Marrakech through the Middle Atlas, the Sahara Desert and the spectacular landscapes of southern Morocco.
Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga
Depart from Fes in the morning and begin your journey towards the Sahara Desert. Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop in Ifrane, known for its distinctive architecture and mountain atmosphere.
Continue towards Azrou and the cedar forests before reaching Midelt, an important town between the Middle Atlas and the Sahara. From here, the landscape gradually becomes more arid as you approach the desert.
Continue through the spectacular Ziz Valley and its palm-filled oases before reaching Erfoud, famous for fossils and dates. Continue to Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Spend the night in Merzouga and prepare for your Sahara experience the following day.
Merzouga Desert Experience → Sahara Camp
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region and discover the unique landscapes of the Sahara.
Visit Khamlia village and discover its Gnawa musical traditions. Continue towards Rissani, where you can experience the atmosphere of a traditional Moroccan market.
Return towards Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes in the afternoon. Enjoy a camel ride across the golden dunes and watch the sunset before arriving at your Sahara desert camp.
Enjoy a traditional dinner and an evening under the stars before spending the night in the desert camp.

Wake up early and enjoy the sunrise over the Sahara dunes before leaving the desert region after breakfast.
Travel through Erfoud and continue towards the spectacular Todra Gorge. The road takes you through changing landscapes, from the desert to the dramatic mountains and valleys of southern Morocco.
Explore the Todra Gorge and enjoy its impressive limestone cliffs. Continue through the Valley of Roses towards the Dades Valley.
Spend the night in the Dades Valley or Boumalne Dades, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery.
Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → High Atlas → Marrakech
After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and continue towards Ouarzazate, often known as the gateway to the Sahara and southern Morocco.
Visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco's most recognizable historic villages.
Continue towards the High Atlas Mountains and cross the spectacular mountain landscapes on your way to Marrakech.
